The Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Board met on 5 March 2026.
Our Board Chair, Renee Williams chaired the meeting with 5 board members in attendance.
The board received updates from its standing committees that met during the reporting period. These included reports from the following committees:
- the Board Safety and Quality Committee
- the Board Executive Committee
- the Board Finance and Performance Committee.
The board also received the Health Service Chief Executive’s Board Report, which gave an update on key operational, strategic and performance matters across the health service.
During the meeting, the board approved the Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service Leadership Framework.
Board activities
During February 2026, board members participated in a number of key meetings and engagements including:
- meeting with the Cape and Torres Health Commissioning (CaTHC) Board
- meeting with Lockhart River Aboriginal Shire Council
- meeting with the Lockhart River Women’s Shelter
- meeting with Puuya Foundation
- meeting with Cape York Partnership O-Hub
- Queensland Finance and Audit Committee meeting
- Hospital and Health Board Chairs’ Forum.
