The Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Board met on 7 August 2025, in Bamaga.
Our Board Chair, Renee Williams chaired the meeting with 4 board members in attendance.
The board received updates from its standing committees that met during the reporting period. These included reports from the following committees:
- Board Safety and Quality Committee
- Board Executive Committee
- Board Finance and Performance Committee.
The board also noted the Health Service Chief Executive’s Board Report, which gave an update on key operational, strategic and performance matters across the health service.
Board activities
During July 2025, board members participated in a number of key meetings and engagements including:
- Joint Board and Executive Leadership Team Strategic Risk and Risk Appetite Statement Review Workshop
- meeting with Torres Strait Island Regional Council
- meeting Torres Strait Regional Authority
- meeting with Northern Peninsula Area Regional Council
- meeting with Northern Peninsula Area Family and Community Services.
