The Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Board met on 5 February 2026, in Lockhart River.
Our Board Chair, Renee Williams chaired the meeting with 5 board members in attendance.
The board received updates from its standing committees that met during the reporting period. These included reports from the following committees:
- the Board Safety and Quality Committee
- the Board Executive Committee
- the Board Finance and Performance Committee.
The board also received the Health Service Chief Executive’s Board Report, which gave an update on key operational, strategic and performance matters across the health service. The board noted an update on the Government Election Commitments progress.
During the meeting, the board approved the Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service Wellbeing Commitment poster and the Legislative Compliance Management Framework review.
Board activities
During December 2025, board members participated in a number of key meetings and engagements including:
- meeting with Health Consumers Queensland Chief Executive Officer
- official dinner with the Governor-General
- engagement with Minister for Health and Ambulance Services and the Director-General during a trip to Cooktown and Wujal Wujal.
