The Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Board met on 2 July 2026. The meeting was chaired by Board Chair, Renee Williams, and attended by 8 board members.
The board received updates from its standing committees that met during the reporting period. These included reports from the following committees:
- the Board Safety and Quality Committee
- the Board Executive Committee
- the Board Finance and Performance Committee.
The board also received the Health Service Chief Executive’s Board Report, which provided an update on key operational, strategic and performance matters across the health service.
During the meeting, the board approved the following items:
- Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Service Agreement Update 2026-27 Offer and Amendment
- Timely Investment of Infrastructure Maintenance Program for 2025/26 and 2026/27
- the tender award for St Pauls and Kubin Primary Health Care Centres on Moa Island.
Board activities
During June 2026, board members participated in a number of key meetings and engagements including:
- the Consumer Advisory Committee meeting
- a meeting with the Papua New Guinea Minister Masano on remote health service delivery.
