The Torres and Cape Hospital and Health Board met on 2 September 2026. The meeting was chaired by Board Chair, Renee Williams, and attended by 8 Board members.
The Board received a presentation by Dr Scott Davis, Executive Director of Tropical Australian Academic Health Centre on how it builds research capability with TCHHS.
The Board received updates from its standing committees that met during the reporting period, including the:
- the Board Executive Committee
- the Board Finance and Performance Committee
- the Board Safety and Quality Committee.
The Board also received the Health Service Chief Executive’s Board Report, which provided an update on key operational, strategic and performance matters across the health service.
Board activities
During August 2026, Board members participated in several meetings and engagements, including:
- a meeting with the Board of Apunipima Cape York Health Council
- Queensland Finance and Audit Committee Meeting.
